The story began during one of the most profound chapters of my life, when my mom was diagnosed with cancer. As our world shifted, my focus was on her strength, her grace, and preserving a sense of femininity and self during a time filled with uncertainty. I wanted her to feel beautiful, confident, and seen — even when so much felt out of her control.
During her journey, I faced one of my own. I was diagnosed with alopecia areata. Experiencing hair loss firsthand revealed how deeply connected hair is to identity and confidence. It was quiet, isolating, and humbling — and it opened my eyes to how many women carry these feelings silently.
